Comparing Profiles & Finding New Games
One of the most powerful features of steamid.one is the ability to compare multiple Steam profiles side-by-side. This guide walks you through how to use the tool and read the results.
How to Start a Comparison
Getting started is simple. You can compare up to three profiles at once.
- Navigate to the Compare Page.
- You will see input boxes for at least two profiles. You can enter any valid Steam ID format, including a SteamID64, SteamID32, SteamID3, or a Custom URL.
- If you want to compare a third person, simply click the "+" button to add another input box.
- Once you've entered the IDs, click the "Compare Profiles" button.
The tool will then resolve all the inputs to their correct profiles and display the comparison results on a clean, shareable URL.
Understanding the Comparison Results
The results page is designed to give you a quick overview of how the players stack up. For each profile, you'll see a card with key statistics:
- Player Level: A measure of their engagement with the Steam platform.
- Total Hours: The combined playtime across all their games.
- Games Owned: The total number of games in their library.
- Friends: Their friend count (if their friends list is public).
- VAC Bans: The number of Valve Anti-Cheat bans on their record.
- Most Played Game: The game they've sunk the most hours into.
Below the profile cards, you'll find a list of **Games in Common**, showing you exactly which games everyone in the comparison owns.
